Inc-Query’s Commitment to Carbon Neutrality

When consulting groups call upon Inc-Query to accelerate diligence surveys, they’re not just improving their research but also doing something good for the environment. Inc-Query, a pioneer in survey programming and design, has been committed to carbon neutrality since 2020 and works with the myclimate foundation to offset its carbon footprint.

“We’re committed to doing our part to combat climate change, one of the hardest challenges the global community has ever faced,” said Chris Klumpp, Chief Operating Officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “This is something our largest clients care about, which triggered a broader discussion about what we’d like to stand for as a company. Becoming carbon neutral was a logical step.”

How Inc-Query Uses Carbon Credits

As a carbon-neutral organization, Inc-Query calculates its carbon emissions and offsets them by investing in projects to counterbalance the environmental impact. These investments, made in the form of carbon credits, pay for initiatives like renewable energy and reforestation.

McKinsey & Company says carbon credits play “an important dual role in the battle against climate change” because they allow companies to offset their carbon emissions while financing projects that reduce greenhouse gases.

Other Ways Inc-Query Helps the Environment

In addition to purchasing carbon credits, Inc-Query:

  • Uses a 100% remote working structure, requiring no office commutes
  • Maintains no permanent office space, eliminating the need for extra power, heating, and cooling
  • Minimizes document shipping by using cloud-based file sharing and electronic signatures
  • Issues power-efficient laptops to all employees

Demonstrating Company Values

“Accountability and ownership are core values,” said Felipe Ochoa, Inc-Query’s Chief Executive Officer. “That means we take care of our clients, each other, society, and the environment.”

Klumpp said carbon neutrality is just the beginning of Inc-Query’s commitment to combat climate change.

“It’s just a first step, of course,” he said. “As we grow, we’ll investigate more initiatives to help with environmental protection and social causes.”
